 What is The Darcie Project?

I wanted to write to you about our daughter Darcie. We have 3 beautiful girls at home. Our first 3 pregnancies were normal and had no complications. We found out we were pregnant in September of 2016. We miscarried shortly after we found out. Then in December of 2016 we found out we were pregnant with Darcie. Making her our 4th girl. I had a very nauseous pregnancy with other complications. We went in to do our 19 week appointment, which went with flying colors. 2 weeks later I went in for a heart rate check up and she was gone. The following morning of April 4th I delivered her at 1:31 am at 10.5 ounces and 11 inches long. She was so small and petite that it was hard to believe she was ours, just being in shock that she was gone so quick without warning. She spent that day with us and we have missed her every day since. We found out a couple weeks later that there was a placental abruption and a problem with the umbilical cord. This is what caused her to not survive. We look at life different every day and realize that life won't ever be the same. We try not to take things for granted and hope that we can help others who have been through this type of journey. We created the @TheDarcieProject in her memory and hold an annual remembrance walk for all babies gone too soon every October.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our family.
